This professional stereo microscope is built on a pillar stand and has a binocular style viewing head with a pair of 10x super-wide-field eyepieces. The interpupillary distance is adjustable but is fixed at a 45-degree vertical inclination to reduce eye and neck strain. The binocular scope can be rotated 360-degrees to enable sharing between multiple users. The AmScope SM-1BSX-64S microscope has WH10x Eyepieces and 3.5X-45X Magnification and includes a 0.5x Barlow Lens.

This microscope has 0.7x-4.5x zoom objective which provides continuous zoom magnification and longer focal length for inspecting large-scale specimens, and a 0.5x Barlow lens which extends the working distance. The removable rheostat-controlled, 64-bulb, LED ring light provides intensity, control and bright, cool light for working with temperature-sensitive or live specimens.

The pillar-style table stand has a reversible black and white stage plate, to provide contrast with light and dark-colored specimens, and large stage clips to secure the specimen during viewing. The space between the lens area and the working surface is sufficient to perform work or manipulate large items, including circuit boards and dental appliances.
